 "Take and eat it," he said;

"this is my body." .....Then he took a cup,

gave thanks to God, and gave it to them.

"Drink it, all of you," he said; "this is my blood,

 which seals God's covenant,

my blood poured out for many for

 the forgiveness of sins.

I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the

day I drink the new wine with you

in my Father's Kingdom."

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

There is a process in place at the parish for those who are interested in exploring the possibility of becoming Catholic. An initial interview is necessary before beginning this however and Shirley at the parish is the contact person.

Initially, there is a period of inquiry for adults in which questions are asked and discussions take place around the life of a Catholic person in their role as a child of God in God' kingdom on earth.

The next session begins in Fall 2018. We will  make a decision on the exact meeting times at a later date.

Typically the first session is in September.

For faith formation or perhaps simply to talk more about the Catholic faith, ...

this would be a great group for you !!!!!

We will save you a spot!... but you must register with Shirley.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

" Faith is a personal act - the free response of the human person to the initiative of God who reveals himself. but faith is not an isolated act. No one can believe alone, just as no one can live alone. You have not given yourself faith as you have not given yourself life. The believer has received faith from others and should hand it on to others. Our love for Jesus and for our neighbor impels us to speak to others about our faith. Each believer is thus a link in the great chain of believers, I cannot believe without being carried by the faith of others, and by my faith I help support others in faith." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, Article 2)

Often people who are not Catholic have questions about how to become Catholic. Some of the questions include.... What is the process involved? How long does it take? How do I get started? What would I need to learn about? When are the sacraments celebrated for adults? All these questions can be answered during an initial interview just to inquire about RCIA.

We have a team of people who are supportive and would welcome the opportunity to journey with others becoming Catholic.

Please call Shirley at 306-343-0325 or email at

to register and to set up an initial interview.

"Holy Baptism is the basis of the wholeChristian life, the gateway to life

in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua) and the door

which gives access to the other sacraments."

                                           (Catechism of the Catholic Church)

 Congratulations to the new parents!

We welcome you warmly to the celebration of Baptism in our parish! We support you in choosing to have your child baptized in the Catholic faith! This is the most precious gift you can give your child. However, all is just beginning. It is your responsibility for the rest of your life to nourish the faith formation of this young child of God. What a blessing God has given you!

We, as a parish community, also welcome our role as priest, prophet and king in the formation of all the baptized and especially that of these little ones in Christ.

Thank you for allowing us to share in the joy of the Baptism!

"What do you think a man does who has one hundred sheep and one of them gets lost?

He will leave the other ninety-nine grazing on the hillside

and go and look for the lost sheep. ....

In just the same way your Father in heaven

 does not want

any of these little ones to be lost."

'The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." ... and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.

'Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."

 (Genesis 2:18, 21-24)

 Are you engaged?  Congratulations!

What a blessing God has given you!

Maybe you are just thinking about marriage, but would like to participate in discussions that would assist you being involved in living out a healthy religious marriage.  A marriage preparation course may be appropriate and just what you are looking to experience.

There is a team of people in our parish who is interested in supporting you in the preparation of the sacrament of marriage and would welcome the opportunity to journey with you. The marriage preparation course at our parish will be available early in 2014. Pre-registration is necessary so as to have materials prepared for all.

It is never too early however to

to book an appointment with the parish to begin arrangements

for the spiritual holy experience of a wedding celebration.

A word about the marriage preparation course...

This course is offered through the parish and couples must register at the initial interview or shortly thereafter. The course has a number of themes that are appropriate to young couples who are interested in getting married and want God to be central in their marriage. There are also support couples (married) who gather as mentors and are there to assist young people with their questions, concerns and celebrations.

Time frame - The course is scheduled to begin in March 5, 2017. More information to follow. There are 4 sessions from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. on each of the four Sundays. Pre registration is necessary. A registration form can be emailed to you to complete and return.

* Please note: I have tried to load the registration form here but it woudn't load for some reason, but I will continue to attempt it. However, an email from me will have attached the registration form. ... sjh

There are a number of diocesan documents that must be completed and it takes a bit of time to get all of the documentation in order, therefore, it is very important to begin marriage preparations months before the wedding celebration.

So once again, it is recommended that couples contact the church as soon as they have made the commitment to each other so as to begin preparations.

Please contact Shirley at 306.343.0325 or at

 for further details regarding

the booking of wedding dates and marriage preparation courses.

An initial interview is necessary before the priest or the church can be booked.

It is our honour and pleasure to be a part of the sacrament of marriage with you!
