Giving at St. Philip Nericjamesrun2020-08-28T15:52:48-04:00
Why Should You Give.
Joyful giving is sharing, in a planned, proportionate way, the wealth with which God has blessed you. When you plant seeds in fertile ground, it frees your hands to receive more seeds. When you give, you are partnering with us to be an access point for others to discover Jesus Christ so they too may learn all about Him and love Him as much as you do.
If you haven’t already done so, we ask you to reflect in prayer if now is the right time to make a gift to St. Philip Neri Parish. Your gift, no matter the size, is valued and appreciated. Thank you.
Below are listed options that are available for giving. Remember that as a registered contributor, your donations will be tax receipted at year-end and your charitable tax credit will reduce the out-of-pocket cost of your donations.
Pre-Authorized Giving – Debit Accounts
Those wanting the ease of automatic withdrawal and the reassurance that their gift is being offered even when they are away, may want to sign up for our pre-authorized giving program. We presently have automatic withdrawals set for the first and/or the sixteenth of each month. Forms are available at the Parish Office or you may complete our Pre-Authorized Giving Form (PDF) and mail, email, or return it in the Sunday collection basket. Please note a voided cheque is required for banking information input for new registrants.
Pre-authorized giving does not take into account our Diocesan and other special collections. If you would like to make a donation to one of these, you may use our e-transfer email, and designate in the message box which special collection it is for, ex. donation for Share Lent. We also have special collection envelopes available in the Welcome area for you to use.
Pre-Authorized Giving – Credit Accounts
For those who prefer to make a donation using their credit card, our Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation offers a Parish Offertory program which allows parishioners the opportunity to make their Parish offering online, (either one time or recurring) using their credit card or Visa debit. Your donation will be processed on their secure webpage, (regular credit card fees of 3% will apply) and the funds will be transferred back to our Parish on a monthly basis.
If you prefer to submit your information to the Catholic Foundation using their Pre-Authorized Giving form, you may do so using their online form, or download and print it. Completed forms are to be forwarded to the Catholic Foundation by email to or by regular mail to: Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation; 123 Nelson Road; Saskatoon, SK S7S 1H1; Attention: Melissa Anaetoh.
Perhaps you are not wanting the rigidity of a regular monthly withdrawal but still want the ease of online banking to make your gift to the Parish, or you’ve come to Mass but forgot to withdraw cash for the collection basket. No problem. You may use our e-transfer email, in your bank’s online system or banking app to transfer your donation. Please ensure we have your contact information on file at the Parish Office if you wish to receive a charitable donation tax receipt at year end.
This email is also available if you need to make a payment to our Church or would like to purchase something at one of our fundraisers. We ask that you provide a short explanation in the message box indicating what the money is intended for. Some examples include, marriageprep fees, VBS registration, or tomato plant sale.
Depending on your bank, you may need to input a security question to enter us as a recipient, but once we are listed as a payee, our email is set as an automatic deposit so no security question will be needed to make the transfer.
Exception: Mass intentions – cash transaction only, thank you.
If you prefer using cash or cheques for your gifts, we can provide you with a pre-assigned box of offertory envelopes for each week of the year. This box also contains supplemental envelopes for all special collections throughout the liturgical year along with twelve monthly envelopes for our building reserve fund. Once you have been assigned a numbered set of envelopes, there is no need for you to record your name and contact information on each envelope as we already have your information on file.
Parish offertory envelopes are availabe by contacting the Parish Office at (306) 343-0325, by email, or by completing our Parishioner Registration Form (PDF) and returning it to the Parish Office or through our Sunday collection basket.
