The St. Philip Neri Truth and Reconciliation Committee has arranged to bring the Blanket Exercise to our parish on Friday, February 28, at 7 pm. The Blanket Exercise is a tool to help us explore the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the land we now know as Canada. It was developed over 25 years ago and has been offered to thousands of people over that time. This session will be conducted by a team from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. If you want to know more about the history of Canada from an Indigenous perspective the Blanket Exercise is a perspective-altering experience.
