Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle

Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle

Dear Parishioners of St. Philip Neri Parish,

Yesterday, June 21, we celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. As we mark this important day on our national calendar, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle is encouraging the Federal Government to reclaim the cooperative moment of breakthrough in the negotiations with the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs experienced over the weekend of February 28 - March 1, 2020.

Please see,  Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle's letter to Prime Minister Trudeau regarding Wet'suwet'en.

The Circle calls to attention the need for more progress to be made across the country in the practical implementations of First Nations rights and title over their lands and traditional territories.  For more actions in favour of reconciliation or to learn more about the Circle, please go to, Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle

I was a member of the Guadalupe Circle for the first years of it’s meetings in Ottawa and our Oblate Provincial Ken Thorson OMI now occupies that seat at the table.
